Elizabeth Arden 1979 Palais de Versailles Collection Imperial Lion porcelain box

This white Imperial Lion sits on decorated lid and base and was made exclusively for Elizabeth Arden in Japan as part of the 1979 Palais de Versailles Christmas collection. It would originally have held one of Miss Arden's perfumes.

The first Elizabeth Arden Porcelain was created in 1973.
The porcelain was used to promote fragrance sales during the Christmas period. There was a new theme for each year and only a limited number produced in each collection.
